Choosing the page types available in a page group

You can control the types of pages that page designers can create in a page group. For example, you might want to include your own custom page types.

When a page group is first created, the list of available page types defaults to the list of available page types for the Shared Objects page group.

To choose which page types are available in a page group, you must have at least one of the following privileges:

  1. In the Navigator, click Properties next to the page group with which you want to work.

  2. Click the Configure tab.

  3. In the Page Types and Template section, click Edit.

  4. In the Hidden Page Types list, choose the page types that you want page designers to be able to create in this page group.

    Tip: You can choose more than one page type in the Hidden Page Types list. For example on Microsoft Windows, press Ctrl or Shift and choose multiple page types.

  5. Click to move the chosen page types to the Visible Page Types list.

  6. In the Visible Page Types list, choose the page types that you do not want page designers to be able to create in this page group.

    Tip: You can choose more than one page type in the Visible Page Types list. For example on Microsoft Windows, press Ctrl or Shift and choose multiple page types.

  7. Click to move the chosen page types to the Hidden Page Types list.

    Note: If you exclude page types from a page group, you are not deleting those page types, you are simply preventing users from being able to create those types of pages in this page group.

  8. Use the buttons to determine the order that the page types are displayed in the Page Types list.

  9. Click OK to return to the Configure tab.

  10. Click OK to return to the Navigator.
