"English for Criminology" is an obligatory 4th year subject with 6 ECTS, taught in the first semester, which aims to: (1) improve students’ skills in reading and understanding legal texts or texts on legal issues dealing with the topic of Criminology or related topics; (ii) strengthen their knowledge and command of the features of legal English; (iii) activate and expand their legal vocabulary within the topic of criminology and related topics, and (iv) improve their grammar skills (in particular grammar issues specific to legal English).
Students will practise legal English skills, such as reading legal texts from different genres or vocabulary building.
