El Máster en Cooperación Policial en Europa (Policing in Europe) representa una nueva especialización para la formación de los policías y otros oficiales encargados de velar y hacer cumplir las leyes, que cuenta con el respaldo de la Agencia Europea CEPOL (Colegio Europeo de Policía) durante el desarrollo del proyecto así como durante la impartición del mismo. El objetivo es proveer a los policías y otros agentes encargados de velar por la seguridad y el orden en Europa de herramientas científicas, basadas en las habilidades y competencias que necesitan para desarrollar su trabajo en un mundo globalizado y en un ámbito cambiante como es Europa.Nos hallamos ante un Programa Conjunto de Master Europeo desarrollado, bajo los auspicios de CEPOL (Colegio Europeo de Policia), por un consorcio de numerosas universidades europeas y academias policiales. El Programa Conjunto de Master Europeo (EJMP) pretende aportar competencias científico-académicas a la Comunidad Europea de práctica policial.
Se trata del primer programa académico de la UE que tiene como finalidad centrarse en los retos comunes para la cooperación policial en el contexto de la seguridad interior europea. El EJMP contribuirá enormemente al establecimiento de una Comunidad Europea de práctica policial en la que, profesionales con nivel académico universitario, tendrán la gran oportunidad de participar en una red profesional en la que puedan intercambiar información, conocimiento y buenas prácticas sobre cooperación policial europea y materias relacionadas con el Espacio de Libertad, Seguridad y Justicia de la UE.
Es un programa que combina, en cada uno de los módulos, una fase a distancia con otra fase presencial y que se imparte en su totalidad en inglés.
Se destina fundamentalmente a Oficiales senior en la actividad de Law enforcement o expertos en dicha materia que pretenden ganar o mejorar sus competencias en el campo policial internacional y europeo
Actualmente UNED otorga el título académico de Master en este curso y hay en él socios académicos de Bulgaria, Hungría, Finlandia, Italia, Lituania, Rumania, Holanda, Eslovenia, Estonia, Portugal y Reino Unido(la Universidad de referencia para la Policía holandesa es la Christchurch University en Gran Bretaña)
Master in Police cooperation in Europe (Policing in Europe) represents a new specialization for the training of police officers and other law enforcement officers, which is supported by the European Agency CEPOL (European Agency for Police issues training) during the development of the project as well as during the delivery. The objective is to provide the police and other agents responsible for ensuring security and order in Europe of scientific tools, based on the skills and competencies they need to develop their work in a globalized world and in a changing environment as Europe has today. We are faced with a joint programme of European Master developed, under the auspices of CEPOL (European Police Training Agency), by a consortium of several European universities and Police academies. The joint programme of European Master (EJMP) aims to provide scientific and academic competence to the European Community of police practice.
This is the first EU academic programme aimed at focusing on the common challenges for police cooperation in the context of European internal security. The EJMP will contribute greatly to the establishment of a European police practice community in which, professionals with university academic level, have the great opportunity to participate in a professional network in which they can exchange information, Knowledge and good practices on European police cooperation and matters relating to the area of freedom, security and justice of the EU.
It is a program that combines, in each one of the seven modules, a distance phase with another stage in the classroom and that is taught in its entirely in English.
It is primarily intended for senior officers in Law enforcement activity or experts in this field who seek to gain or improve their competencies in the International and European police issues
UNED currently grants the Diploma and there are other institution participating from Bulgaria, Hungary, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Estonia, Portugal and UK ( the University for reference for the Dutch Police is the Christchurch University in Canterbury, Great Britain)
