Description

The students’ work in this subject will be evaluated by three complementary activities.

  • Firstly, an assignment reflecting what has been learnt from their study of the literature (40% of the final grade).
  • The second activity is, on the contrary, individual and of a more practical character, where the student can choose one or more apps or tools that s/he has used to explore practical ways in which the technology can be used in a teaching context (40% of the final grade). 
  • The third activity is the ongoing participation in the forums and/or the social networking tool WhatsApp throughout the duration of the subject (20% of the final grade).
Qualification and evaluation criteria

The activities will be evaluated as follows:

(1) The relevance of the contents in the overall structure of the course, presented in such a way that although the length of the activities is not penalized, the most relevant elements that have been covered it in its different stages must be present.

(2) Critical reflection, in such a way that the continuous transcription of the opinions and perspectives of other authors will be penalized and, on the contrary, original attempts to reinterpret the aspects that define and characterize the subject will be positively valued.

(3) Creativity, in particular, unpublished but well-founded attempts to advance MALL in any of its manifestations.

(4) The observation of formal questions relevant to academic discourse: structure, use and reference of sources, correction in the expression, use of appropriate terminology, etc.

Regarding the participation in the forums and in the WhatsApp group, the following will be particularly valued:

(1) the frequency of participation;

(2) the quality of the messages;

(3) the interactivity, taking to account messages intended to promote social or collective learning and responses to messages from other colleagues, assisting them in their training, trying to resolve their doubts, abounding in their queries, etc. in order to promote joint progress in the studies.

How to obtain the final grade?

Firstly, a student has to have passed both activities (with a grade of 5 or more). Subsequently, the grades of both activities are combined with the grade for participation in the forum and WhatsApp group as follows:

  • Activity 1: 45% of the final grade
  • Activity 2: 45% of the final grade
  • Participation in the forum and in the WhatsApp group: 10% of the final grade
