Rosa Bautista holds a Ph.D. in NortnAmerican Literature and a B.A. in English Philology. She is a lecturer in legal translation (and other specialist areas of translation) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She is also a sworn translator/interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with over 20 years' experience.
She has taught at the Graduate Programme in Legal Translation at the Universidad Complutense, and has been part of the teaching team of the Seminar of Comparative Study on European Legal Systems and International Judicial Cooperation through Legal Language, for judges and magistrates of the European Union, organised yearly by the Training Department of the Spanish Council of the Judiciary and the European Studies Forum.
She has been involved in several funded research projects and is the author of various publications related to legal language and translation.
