ELECTRONICS FOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

REQUISITOS Y/O RECOMENDACIONES PARA CURSAR LA ASIGNATURA

To study this subject successfully, given its technical and final character, you need to have previous knowledge of basic analog electronics and digital electronics.

Block 1. Integrated Circuits

This block describes the construction, operation, characteristics and parameters of MOS integrated circuits and bipolar integrated circuits and their applications in IS. Multi-Chip Modules (parameters, production technologies, etc.) are also dealt with.

Block 2. Data Storage

This block describes the different ways for data storing; the principle the principle of non-volatile electrically addressable memory (ROM, EPROM, EEPROM, NVRAM, Battery RAM and Flash memories), their characteristics, parameters; and the topology of RAM memories.

Block 3. Very-Large-Scale Integration

This block describes the evolution, technologies, etc. of Very-Large-Scale Integration circuits, applied especially in telecommunications.

Block 4. Microprocessors

This block describes the evolution, characteristics, structure, topology, parameters of Microprocessors. This block also deals with the different platforms families and their characteristics, capabilities, limitations and their applications.

Para estudiar con éxito esta asignatura, dado su carácter técnico, se requieren conocimientos previos en electrónica y teoría de circuitos. Se debe seguir el temario anterior.
