Actualmente su investigación está centrada en la integración, medición y gestión de la sostenibilidad en las estrategias organizacionales y en las finanzas sostenibles. Los resultados de su investigación han sido defendidos en diferentes congresos y se encuentran publicados en diversas revistas de carácter nacional e internacional como Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial Management and Data Systems, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management y Business Strategy and Management. Ha participado en diversos proyectos de investigación así como en diferentes convenios con entidades privadas

Su trayectoria investigadora y docente parte de una extensa formación académica continúa recibida en el área de Economía Financiera y Contabilidad. En estos momentos su investigación está centrada en la evaluación Ambiental, Social y de Gobierno Corporativo (evaluación ASG) de las organizaciones y en las Finanzas Sostenibles.

Los resultados de su investigación han sido defendidos en más de 40 congresos dando lugar a más de 15 publicaciones en revistas de carácter internacional de gran impacto en el mundo científico como Journal of Cleaner Production,  Business Strategy and the Environment o Journal of Environmental Planning and Management.

Actualmente forma parte del grupo de investigación ‘Sostenibilidad de las Organizaciones y Gestión de la Responsabilidad Social – Mercados Financieros’ de la red de servicios de la Universitat Jaume I y trabaja con una red de investigación europea liderada por la Universidad de Oslo sobre empresas sostenibles, obteniendo recientemente un Proyecto Europeo del H2020 titulado “Sustainable Market Actors for Responsible Trade”.

Actualmente es profesora contratada doctora del Departamento de Finanzas y Contabilidad de la Universitat Jaume I de Castellón.

Su línea de investigación está centrada en Gobierno Corporativo y Sostenibilidad, analizando las relaciones entre los distintos mecanismos de Gobierno Corporativo y el performance social, ambiental y económico de las organizaciones. Ha participado en más de 30 congresos de ámbito nacional e internacional y ha publicado en revistas como Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Review of Managerial Science, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management y Sustainability.

Maria Angeles Fernandez Izquierdo.

Trabajó como Economista en la Bolsa de Valencia y en la Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros. Fue profesora en la Universidad de Valencia. Desde 1992 es profesora de Finanzas en la Universitat Jaume I de Castellón y desde 2002 Catedrática de Universidad, del departamento de Finanzas y Contabilidad de la Universidad Jaume I. Castellón

Es profesora permanente también de diversos másteres y cursos de especialización relacionados con sus temas de investigación, destacando la Dirección del Máster Oficial interuniversitario en Sostenibilidad y Responsabilidad Social Corporativa.

Pertenece al grupo de investigación de Sostenibilidad de las Organizaciones y Mercados Financieros, en el que desarrolla diversos proyectos de investigación sobre Finanzas sostenibles, responsabilidad social y códigos de buen gobierno. Ha publicado numerosos artículos internacionales y nacionales en revistas con gran impacto académico, así como ha publicado diversos libros, capítulos de libros e impartido conferencias. Ha sido directora de diversas tesis de doctorado y trabajos fin de master sobre Finanzas y Sostenibilidad. La CNAI le ha reconocidos 5 sexenios de investigación.

Tiene una amplia experiencia en gestión de la Universitat Jaume I y en la participación de sus órganos de representación, ha sido directora del departamento de Finanzas y Contabilidad, y Vicerrectora de Economia, PAS, bienestar Social y de Vicerrectora de Fundaciones y responsabilidad Social  y ha participado y participa en el claustro, en la junta de gobierno y en distintas comisiones.

Ha sido miembro de diversos patronatos y Juntas Directivas, como Unión de Mutuas, Patronato de la Fundación Universitat Jaume I-Empresa, Fundación Jaume I-Empresa., Fundación General UJI , Espaitec y Ágora S.L.

Actualmente pertenece a la Comisión mixta del Registro de Entidades Valecnianas socialmente responsables, a la Comisión Ética de la Unión de Mutuas,  al Instituto Español de Analistas Financieros de la Comunidad Valenciana,  y a la Junta directiva del Colegio de Economistas de Castellón.

Actualmente su investigación, financiada a través de proyectos de investigación con fondos de carácter nacional e internacional, incluido el H2020, Erasmus+, EuropeAid y Horizonte Europa está centrada en Finanzas Sostenibles, integración y evaluación de la Sostenibilidad en las estrategias empresariales, inversión y gestión de carteras de fondos de inversión con criterios de Responsabilidad Social, subsidios de capital y eficiencia en términos de sostenibilidad de las empresas y evaluación del binomio resultados-riego de forma integral. Los resultados de su investigación han sido defendidos en diferentes foros y congresos, y se encuentran publicados en diversos libros y revistas de carácter nacional e internacional.

Actualmente trabaja como Profesor Ayudante Doctor en la Universidad de Burgos, adscrito al Departamento de Economía y Administración de Empresas. Con anterior, trabajó como profesor interino (2017) e investigador predoctoral (2013-2016) en la Universidad de Vigo, impartiendo docencia de Auditoría, Contabilidad de Costes y Contabilidad Financiera Avanzada.

La investigación de Nicolás se centra en el campo de la RSC, su comunicación, y la interrelación de ambas con el gobierno corporativo. En concreto,  estudia la transparencia y utilidad de los modelos de comunicación de la información de RSC, y en cómo los mecanismos de gobierno corporativo influyen en las prácticas de información empresarial sobre RSC. Asimismo, también estudia la inclusión de cuestiones medioambientales en los estados financieros de las compañías. Como resultado de su trabajo, Nicolás ha publicado artículos en revistas nacionales e internacionales, así como presentado sus resultados en diferentes congresos. Nicolás es miembro del Center for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR).

Actualmente es doctoranda en el programa de “Empresa y Economía” y miembro colaborador del grupo de investigación “Sostenibilidad de las organizaciones y gestión de la responsabilidad social – Mercados Financieros (SoGReS-MF)”. Cuenta con experiencia profesional y formación complementaria en marketing y comunicación tanto en el ámbito público como privado. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la gestión de la sostenibilidad y la responsabilidad social empresarial, gestión de los grupos de interés, información y comunicación de la sostenibilidad, riesgos reputacionales y estrategia corporativa.
