From a strating point of a basic introduction to qualitative methods and their qualities (validation, reliability, generalization, etcetera.) relevant to conduct such a study , students will be able to leade to a research report (e.g. constructing and deploying a simple case study and the evaluation and interpretation of the data obtained).
In addition, students will integrate the knowledge gained from previous topics covered in all the modules of the programme and will learn from the specialists who are embedded in a border surveillance organization (field visit).
