The RADTE group was officially created in 2007, through the 2006 call for Research Groups of the UNED, being evaluated on the basis of the Regulation for the Recognition of Research Groups of the UNED (Internal University Coordination Bulletin, number 30, Annex II, of May 22, 2006). It has been restructured and the UNED Governing Council, dated March 7, 2012, approved its request for recognition with the Reference Number GI5.
Different researchers belonging to the UNED and other institutions and national and international universities are part of this Research Group: The World Bank (Washington D. C. USA); Universidad Aberta (Portugal); Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico); University of Southampton (United Kingdom); Universidad de Alicante (Spain); Universidad de Oviedo (Spain); Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Spain); COIE (Spain) y Universidad de Valencia (Spain).
RADTE research group carries out educational research and develops proposals for improving teaching and learning processes in a digitalized society.
Objectives:
Develop theoretical and empirical knowledge about technology-mediated teaching-learning systems and models that contribute to improving the quality and equity of the education system, paying special attention to the competencies of teachers and students and trainers in general.
Analyze the impacts of the media and technologies in Education.
Strengthen a specialized interuniversity research network through the implementation of national and international projects.
Promote didactic and organizational innovation in educational institutions.
Transfer the results of research carried out with the purpose of improving decision-making processes in training processes.
The group conducts basic research, use-inspired basic research, and applied research in the context of technology education in areas such as:
Ubiquitous and Mobile Learning.
MOOC y Short Learning Programmes.
Emerging Technologies in Education.
Distance Education, Online and Blended Learning scenarios.
