Law Degrees that, according to art. 3 of the Royal Decree 64/2023, include the acquisition of these competences:
To know and to understand the elements, structure, resources, interpretation and the put in practice of the law system; and to interpret essential law concepts and resources for each legal order.
To know and to understand dispute resolution legal mechanisms and proceedings; as well as the legal position of individuals when they act before the Administration and public powers.
To know and to explain legal sources order, and to identify which should be applied in each case according to constitutional rules, principles and values.
To interpret legal texts from an interdisciplinary perspective using legal principles; and deontological, ethical and social principles and values as analysis tool.
To give advice on a theoretical question related to different legal topics using convincing legal argumentation.
To solve practical cases according to in force statutory law, which involves preparing materials in advance, to identify difficult questions, to select and to interpret the specific applicable statutory law, and to present the argument that subsumes all of it.
To handle skilfully and accurately the legal speaking and writing, using specific terminology for each legal branch. To write neatly and understandable legal documents. To communicate, by writing and orally, ideas, arguments and legal reasoning using the accurate tone for each legal context.
To use information and communication technologies for searching and obtaining legal information (statutory databases, caselaw, bibliography, etc.), as well as for using them as working and communication tools.
