De acuerdo con la legislación vigente, todas las Universidades han de someter sus títulos oficiales a un proceso de verificación, seguimiento y acreditación.
En el caso de la UNED, el Consejo de Universidades recibe la memoria del título y la remite a la ANECA para su evaluación y emisión del Informe de verificación. Si el informe es favorable, el Consejo de Universidades dicta la Resolución de verificación, y el Ministerio de Educación eleva al Gobierno la propuesta de carácter oficial del título, ordena su inclusión en el Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos (RUCT) y su posterior publicación en el Boletín Oficial del Estado.
Los títulos oficiales de máster han de renovar su acreditación antes de los seis años, desde la fecha de inicio de impartición del título o de renovación de la acreditación anterior, con el objetivo de comprobar si los resultados obtenidos son adecuados para garantizar la continuidad de su impartición. Si son adecuados, el Consejo de Universidades emite una Resolución de la acreditación del título. La renovación de la acreditación ha sido informada favorablemente en Mayo 2019 por las autoridades del Ministerio de Educación español

In accordance with current legislation, all universities must submit their official degrees to a verification and accreditation process. In the case of the UNED, the Spanish "Consejo de Universidades" receives the report of the degree and sends it to the ANECA (National Agency to accreditate theQuality) for evaluation and issuance of the verification report. If the report is favorable, the Council of Universities dictates the Resolution of verification, and the Ministry of Education submits to the Government the proposal of official title, orders its inclusion in the Register of Universities, Centers and Titles (RUCT) and its subsequent publication in the Official State Gazette ("Boletín Oficial del Estado"). The official master's degree must renew its accreditation before four years from its verification or from the date of its last accreditation, in order to check whether the results obtained are adequate to guarantee the continuity of its delivery. If they are adequate, the Council of Universities issues a Resolution of the accreditation of the title. The renewal of accreditation has been positively informed in May 2109 by the Spanish authorities
