From a professional point of view, the use and analysis of the data produced in the different production chains of digital information management have become a key differentiating and innovative element of the productive development of companies, especially in the digital field. The use of knowledge of the rules that govern data, and the structures/models that can be used to make predictions of future behaviour have defined specific professional profiles that focus on data analysis and the creation of predictive models. These professional profiles are a reality in the professional market. They are currently in high demand for their ability to use these techniques to aid in decision making or to implement machine learning in artificial intelligence and cognitive environments. Therefore, the objective of the Master is training professionals with the appropriate skills and knowledge to develop data analysis procedures and implement machine learning solutions on big data management environments. The professional will know not only these techniques but how to implement computer solutions in big data environments (Big Data), managing the persistence of data on different technologies. As an additional objective, it is intended that this professional profile can carry out innovation and research activities in the institutions that promote/make these activities, specifically in the application domains of this type of technologies: Natural Language Processing, Cybersecurity, eHealth, Learning Analytics, etc. These application domains are socially translated into improvements, among others, in the national/private health systems, in the retail industry, the assurance of security in the management/handling of data in the different industries where the business is focused on data-based decision-making (Data-Centric) or the applications of artificial intelligence in engineering (automatic cars, assistants, etc.)
