Use this page to choose the object type on which the synonym will be based. A synonym is a name assigned to an object that can thereafter be used to refer to it.

To locate this page in OracleAS Portal:

  1. On the Portal Builder page, click the Navigator link.
  2. Click the Database Objects tab.
  3. In the Name column, scroll down to the schema in which you want to build the object.
  4. Click the schema's name.
  5. Click Create New...Synonym.
  6. Complete each wizard page until you reach this page.
