Use this page to create aliases for any of the columns you selected in the previous step. A column alias is an alternative name to use when referring to the column.

Go to topField Descriptions

 

Field Description
Selected Column List Choose a table or view column for which you want to create an alias.
Alias Name Enter the alias for the selected column, for example, Department_ Number for the DEPTNO column. Aliases cannot contain blank characters.
Add to List Click to create the alias.
Selected Column Name Displays the table or view column you selected. Click Delete to delete an alias.
Alias Name Defined Displays the alias defined for the column.

  1. On the Portal Builder page, click the Navigator link.
  2. Click the Database Objects tab.
  3. In the Name column, scroll down to the schema in which you want to build the object.
  4. Click the schema's name.
  5. Click Create New...View.
  6. Complete each wizard page until you reach this page.
